Desktop: Performance Boost
Beeper always strives to be a snappy app. Compared to an earlier version from May, we’ve made the desktop app open nearly twice as fast, sync twice as fast, and use considerably less CPU.
Android: Sticker Packs
Express yourself with more than words, sticker packs you see in the official apps like Telegram, WhatsApp or Signal will show up on Beeper and you can send them without switching apps.
iOS: Widgets + Shortcuts Integration
Pin your favorite chats on your Home Screen with widgets. Beeper also integrates better with Shortcuts app (and Siri) so you can create automations to send messages through Beeper and more.
iOS: UX Improvements
Beeper iOS has a ton of new visual changes, which are best seen and felt instead of described, but as you can see in the above graphic, nearly all parts of the app has received some design love.
macOS: iMessage Improvements
iMessage on macOS is a bit more complete and reliable, supporting:
- do-not-disturb status notice + notify anyway
- view edit history
- emoji reacts
- improved performance
- fixes for audio playback, receiving typing indicators, certain GamePigeon/Find My messages not showing up, unmuting chats etc.
- and much more!
